About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Insulation Technician to join our team at RESIDENTIAL INSULATION SPECIALISTS INC. As an Insulation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the energy efficiency and comfort of our clients' homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and Cut Insulation Materials: Use hand and power tools to measure and cut insulating materials to the required shape and dimensions.
  • Fitting Insulation: Fit insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs to ensure a tight seal.
  • Install Vapour Barriers and Fire-Retardant Materials: Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials to protect against moisture and fire hazards.
  • Apply Waterproofing Coatings: Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials to prevent water damage.
  • Remove Hazardous Materials: Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead, and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physically Demanding Work: This role requires standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
