Job Title: Building Envelope Consultant

Morrison Hershfield, a leading engineering consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Building Envelope Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Building Specialty Services division, you will be responsible for managing building envelope and building science-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform forensic engineering investigations to identify and resolve building envelope issues.
  • Design and engineer building envelope solutions, including window and cladding replacements, roofing repairs and replacements, and below-grade waterproofing.
  • Conduct construction engineering services, including permitting, contract administration, and quality assurance field services.
  • Provide design review and assistance services to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Perform facilities assessments, including technical audits, due diligence assessments, and building condition assessments.
Requirements:
  • Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited university or college-level diploma in an engineering program.
  • Pursuing registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Licensee (P.L.Eng.) is a plus.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in building science/building envelope-related design and construction consulting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
