INVISTA, a leading manufacturer of high-quality products, is seeking a talented individual to join its team as a Process Engineer Intern. Our company has been a major employer in Kingston, Ontario, with over 700 employees dedicated to producing cutting-edge materials for the automotive airbag and engineering polymer industries.

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated intern who can contribute to our innovative spirit. As a Process Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced manufacturing processes, utilizing emerging technologies such as sensors, analytics, and vision systems to drive digitization strategies.

The successful candidate will analyze data sets to identify opportunities for process optimization, collaborating with site operations to provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting services. Additionally, they will develop problem statements, lead capital projects, and advance fiber spinning or polymer processes using designed experiments and data analysis.

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This internship is a 16-month term, commencing May 2024 through August 2025.

What You Will Do:

  • Advance digitization strategies to modernize the site's manufacturing process
  • Analyze data sets to generate knowledge systems that present actionable information
  • Provide site operations with day-to-day technical support
  • Utilize designed experiments and data analysis to advance fiber spinning or polymer processes
  • Develop problem statements against prioritized opportunities

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

  • Demonstrated initiative of a Principled Entrepreneur
  • Currently enrolled in a University Engineering degree program, in 3rd year or higher
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
