Job Summary:

As a Site Reliability Engineer at National Bank, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational reliability of our data protection assets. With your expertise in high-availability asset management, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and ongoing development of these assets throughout their lifecycle. Your goal will be to ensure the stability and reputation of the Bank with its internal and external users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and ongoing development of data protection assets
  • Manage operational requests and put in place processes to meet the Bank's operational demands
  • Work with the Product Owner to ensure operational tasks are sent to development teams
  • Manage IT operations, including 24/7-support teams and incident management
  • Organize fire drills and recovery exercises to ensure business continuity
  • Manage vulnerabilities and act as a technical authority on monitoring practices
  • Create and maintain the operational excellence roadmap
  • Centralize monitoring practices and guide the System team to achieve operational excellence objectives
  • Apply SRE theory and practices, including service level objectives (SLOs) and error budgets
  • Work with teams to follow up on SLOs and implement tools and automations to optimize data protection services and assets

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in operational management of high-availability assets
  • Concrete experience in implementing SLOs on various assets
  • Knowledge of security ceremonies, CI/CD, and Agile teamwork
  • Embracing the DevSecOps culture
  • Knowledge of cloud services, such as AWS/Azure, and tools like Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and HashiCorp Vault
