Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Kilkenny Pub Ltd. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and ensure that our inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary to maintain high standards.

Manage Budget and Reports

Prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Address Customer Complaints

Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, and take steps to resolve issues promptly.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and be able to work under pressure.

Physical Demands

Be able to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk, and be physically demanding.

Personal Suitability

Have excellent oral communication skills, be a team player, and have flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.

Working Conditions

Work in a restaurant environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to work in a hot environment.

Certifications and Licenses

Hold a Food Safety Certificate.
