Job Summary
This is a full-time opportunity for a certified dental assistant to work in a fast-paced dental environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask effectively, and possess a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures
- Order dental and office supplies as needed
- Prepare dental instruments and filling materials for use during procedures
- Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment to ensure a safe working environment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide instructions on how to maintain good oral health
- Perform intra-oral duties, including taking X-rays and recording dental procedures
- Invoice patients for dental services provided
- Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations as needed
- Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts
Requirements
- Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board
- Registration with provincial or territorial authorities
