Principal Infrastructure Performance Architect

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Infrastructure Performance Architect to join our team. As the architect of our digital backbone, you will design and maintain resilient systems that power our innovative solutions. This is a full-time position that requires a strong focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement Infrastructure Solutions: Develop and implement complex, scalable infrastructure solutions, including cloud environments, to support our business growth.
- Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect data and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Optimize Performance and Data Integrity: Ensure optimization, performance, and data integrity across all systems, leveraging data analytics to drive innovation and improvement.
- Lead and Mentor a Team: As the company grows, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the success of our digital landscape.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent English and French written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
- Technical Expertise: 5-10 years of experience in designing and implementing complex, scalable infrastructure solutions, including cloud environments, with expertise in server infrastructure, security, and PostgreSQL.
- Cloud Platform Experience: Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud platforms like AWS is highly desirable.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Pulumi or other IaC tools is preferred.
- Code Quality and Maintainability: Strong focus on building for maintainability, scalability, and readability, with a proven track record in optimizing and securing web application infrastructure.
- Full Insurance Coverage: We offer full insurance coverage, including Quebec insurance, paid by the employer.
- Vacation and Sick Leave: Employees receive 3 weeks of vacation per year, with flexibility on when to take them, plus an additional week off during Christmas, and 5 days of sick leave annually.
- Off-Site Events: We aim to hold one or two off-site events each year, where the entire team gathers for a week to collaborate and connect in person.
