About the Role:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our RP North department in Whitehorse, YT.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain facilities operations. Key responsibilities include maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing systems (leaking faucet, plugged toilets, etc.)
  2. Perform building repairs, including drywall, paint, flooring, carpentry, ceiling tile, and grid
  3. Complete all maintenance services requests as assigned
  4. Conduct daily site inspections of facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operations
  5. Provide a report to the Maintenance Coordinator noting any problems found
  6. Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments
  7. Respond quickly and thoroughly to changes in client requirements and amendments in scope
  8. Ensure all operations meet and comply with customer regulations, federal and provincial health and safety legislations, regulations, and corporate policies
  9. Complete work orders in the CMMS system
  10. Perform routine maintenance jobs and repairs
  11. Follow Health and Safety Policies and Safe Work practices
  12. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. The successful candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a facility maintenance position
  2. Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical in maintenance operations
  3. Highly experienced with vendor management in a facilities operation with a strong customer focus
  4. Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials
  5. Ability to obtain Government Security Clearance – Reliability level
  6. Basic PC skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Outlook
  7. Valid Driver's License
  8. Professional communication skills, oral, and written
  9. Ability to prioritize and multitask
  10. Work well under pressure
  11. Effectively solve problems
