Job Title: Short Haul Truck Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Short Haul Truck Driver to join our team at 2360062 ALBERTA LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials over short distances. This is a permanent position requiring a valid Class 1 or A driver's license and Air Brakes Endorsement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 1 or A driver's license
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads. The successful candidate will be required to work overtime and travel for extended periods.
