Job Title: Industrial Development Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Development Officer to join our team at Wales McLelland Construction Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Plan development projects
  • Respond to enquiries from members of the business community
  • Provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval
  • Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies
  • Prepare reports, research papers, and educational texts
  • Conduct social or economic surveys
  • Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals
  • Design, conduct, and analyze research projects
  • Develop feasibility studies
  • Conduct online marketing and E-commerce promotions
  • Develop marketing strategies
  • Ensure business licenses are in place
  • Deliver presentations at conferences and workshops
  • Consult with clients after sale
  • Ensure construction permits are obtained
  • Compile and process applications and documents
  • Examine plans and drawings
  • Complete documentation packages
  • Coordinate projects
  • Prepare proposals and project schedules
  • Plan and administer budgets
Requirements:
  • Computer and technology knowledge
  • MS Office and other software skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
