Industrial Development Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Development Officer to join our team at Wales McLelland Construction. As an Industrial Development Officer, you will play a key role in promoting industrial and commercial business investment in rural and urban areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer programs to promote industrial and commercial business investment
- Perform administrative tasks to support development projects
- Plan and coordinate development projects to ensure timely completion and budget adherence
- Respond to enquiries from members of the business community regarding development opportunities
- Provide advice on procedures and requirements for government approval of development proposals
- Conduct comparative research on marketing strategies for industrial and commercial products
- Prepare reports, research papers, educational texts, and articles to support development initiatives
- Conduct social or economic surveys to assess development potential and future trends
- Review and evaluate commercial or industrial development proposals
- Design, conduct, and analyze quantitative and qualitative research projects
- Develop feasibility studies to support development initiatives
- Conduct online marketing, E-commerce, and Website promotions to support business development
- Develop marketing strategies to promote industrial and commercial business investment
- Ensure appropriate business/commercial licenses are in place
- Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposia to promote development initiatives
- Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
- Prepare project schedules and proposals to support development initiatives
- Examine plans, drawings, and site layouts to ensure compliance with development regulations
- Ensure that construction permits are obtained
- Complete documentation packages and drawing sets to support development initiatives
- Coordinate project activities to ensure timely completion and budget adherence
- Compile, verify, record, and process applications, licenses, permits, contracts, registrations, requisitions, and other forms and documents
- Plan, administer, and control budgets for client projects, contracts, equipment, and supplies
- Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
