We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Underwriting Assistant for Commercial Loans. This internship opportunity is perfect for students pursuing a degree in finance, business, accounting, or economics.
Responsibilities- Assist with the processing of sub-advances and ad-hoc requests, ensuring compliance with established lending guidelines and procedures.
- Analyze and underwrite CFG commercial mortgage loans, dividing time between these areas based on business demands.
- Communicate effectively with external contacts (partners, solicitors, etc.) and internal contacts (coordinators, managers, administrators, etc.) to ensure timely and efficient mortgage loan transactions.
- Manage deal flow to meet prescribed deadlines and assist with various credit-related and administrative duties.
- Currently enrolled in University or College program (Finance, Business, Accounting or Economics preferred).
- Demonstrated ability using MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
The estimated salary for this position is $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Our company offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
