Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at Disability Solutions. As a key member of our commercial lending team, you will be responsible for underwriting CMHC-insured and conventional commercial mortgages. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in secured lending and commercial mortgage market analysis.


In this role, you will analyze and underwrite complex commercial credit facilities, communicate with external contacts and internal stakeholders, and ensure timely completion of transactions. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will enable you to make sound underwriting decisions and find creative solutions to complex issues. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our senior management team to drive business growth and development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and underwrite CMHC-insured commercial credit facilities ranging from $30MM-$150MM.
  • Communicate with external contacts and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with established lending guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports for all mortgage product types.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years' commercial mortgage experience underwriting experience.
  • Proficient underwriting skills and knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
