About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Ambient Mechanical Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Develop and submit pre-qualification submissions to present to clients
  • Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Conduct economic feasibility studies and provide preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in construction estimating
  • Strong knowledge of estimating packages, spreadsheets, and construction software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
