Global Project Director for International Banking Projects

Scotiabank is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Global Project Director to lead the management of international banking related projects for its Canadian Contact Centre.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the effective leadership and management of Global Contact Centres strategic projects, from initiation to successful completion. This includes working as part of a cross-functional team with both English and Spanish speaking stakeholders, supporting the Contact Centre's objectives by coordinating with stakeholders across the global footprint, and executing on key activities accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure project adherence to Scotiabank project management policies and standards, delivering on time, scope, and budget.
  • Create business cases in accordance with Scotiabank's PMO guidelines.
  • Organize workstreams and RACIs to ensure clear roles and accountabilities.
  • Manage project scoping, defining objectives, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Identify required team members, define project governance, and form steering committees.
  • Establish strong working relationships with internal clients, articulating and documenting desired business outcomes.
  • Prepare project management documentation, including project charter, schedule, budget, communication plan, risk assessment, and integrated project plan.
  • Coordinate business requirements definition with business leads/subject matter experts.
  • Review, discuss, and approve project key deliverables/components/activities.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure integrated project plans hold all key milestones.
  • Manage overall project execution phase, creating robust project plans, identifying dependencies, integrating components, tracking activities, etc.
  • Proactively manage risks and issues, defining mitigation plans with team members.
  • Manage and report on project budgets, preparing cost forecasts, accruals, and year-end carry forwards.
  • Communicate project status to senior management through executive-level presentations and project dashboards.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Scotiabank's standard project processes.
  • 7-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager with Agile and Waterfall project experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of Contact Centre strategies, operations, Voice & Non-Voice channels, technologies, and industry trends.
  • Strong communication skills, energetic, self-motivated, and able to create collaborative processes.
  • Strong initiative, forward thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Business background in financial services with knowledge of retail banking products.
  • PMP Designation.
Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and opportunities for professional development.
