Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' cognitive, perceptual, and physical abilities to develop personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve treatment goals.
  • Develop and implement interventions to promote functional independence and occupational performance.
  • Prescribe and recommend adaptive aids and equipment to enhance clients' daily living skills.
  • Provide education and training to clients, families, and caregivers on independent living skills and occupational performance.
  • Coordinate rehabilitative services with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Act as a client advocate, providing information and liaison with funding agencies and community resources.
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities to ensure high standards of care.
Requirements:
  • Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of BC.
  • Two years' recent, related clinical experience in a community or home health setting.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current developments in occupational therapy.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to problem solve and exercise judgment in professional practice.
  • Leadership and teaching skills.
  • Effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
