Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health. This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves providing occupational therapy treatment programs to patients in accordance with hospital/facility policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' occupational performance and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement occupational therapy treatment programs using diverse intervention approaches.
- Monitor the quality and outcome of occupational therapy treatment programs and use results for future planning and improvement.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Provide consultation, liaison, and education to patients, families, and other health team members.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and statistical data.
- Participate in interdisciplinary development and education to maintain ongoing professional competency.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of occupational therapy programs, supportive documentation, and resource material.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an approved program.
- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a continuously changing environment.
