Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Fraser Health. This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves providing occupational therapy treatment programs to patients in accordance with hospital/facility policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' occupational performance and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement occupational therapy treatment programs using diverse intervention approaches.
  • Monitor the quality and outcome of occupational therapy treatment programs and use results for future planning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Provide consultation, liaison, and education to patients, families, and other health team members.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and statistical data.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary development and education to maintain ongoing professional competency.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of occupational therapy programs, supportive documentation, and resource material.

Requirements

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an approved program.
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
  • Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a continuously changing environment.
