About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at G & B Advantage Construction Ltd. As a key member of our estimating department, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Project Analysis: Read and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Cost Management: Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads, and provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.
  • Financial Planning: Project cash flow and financing requirements, and create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms.
  • Contract Management: Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems, monitor and adjust contract expenditures, and prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
  • Communication: Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
