About the Role

This position involves providing top-notch legal counsel to clients on various corporate and commercial matters, including contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment and foster strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate, draft, review, and manage corporate and commercial contracts, including commercial leases, asset purchase agreements, share purchase agreements, and franchise agreements;
  • Work on complex corporate reorganizations and financing transactions, including private placements;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality work and achieve shared goals;
  • Foster long-term connections with clients through exceptional service and communication.
Requirements
  • You have experience in mergers and acquisitions, commercial leases, franchise law, and private securities;
  • You consistently deliver high-quality work that meets or exceeds client expectations;
  • You possess strong drafting and analytical skills, enabling you to assess complex issues and provide unique perspectives;
  • You can efficiently manage processes from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction;
  • You excel in oral and written communication, effectively conveying complex ideas and advice to clients;
  • You are creative in providing effective legal advice on matters involving significant complexity and risk exposure;
  • You provide clear and concise legal opinions, arguments, and information;
  • You prioritize time management and organizational skills, meeting deadlines and achieving goals;
  • You possess excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to thrive in a team environment;
  • You value client service and professionalism, demonstrating initiative and adaptability.
Qualifications
  • You are a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario;
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of strong experience as a Corporate/Commercial Lawyer.

In exchange for your expertise and dedication, Mann Lawyers offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 annually, depending on qualifications and location.
