Job Title: Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Holcim. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our concrete products, working closely with production, sales, and quality teams to minimize quality claims and optimize product performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control tests and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, sales, and quality teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to QC technicians and other team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving any quality-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Civil Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant quality experience in the construction materials industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and proficiency in Windows-based software.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel to construction sites and plant locations. The ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments in all weather conditions is essential.
