Job Summary

The London District Catholic School Board is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Services department, you will be responsible for providing accounting, administrative, and clerical support to ensure the accurate and timely processing of financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting, administrative, and clerical support to the Financial Services department
  • Input, summarize, and report financial information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with departmental priorities and recommend improvements to existing routines and functions
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for all receipts and disbursements of the Board
  • Perform complex clerical bookkeeping and accounting tasks, applying accepted processes and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain Financial Services records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Reconcile accounts and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
Requirements
  • Post-secondary accounting diploma or certificate
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a computerized business environment
  • Experience with a school board or other public-sector organization is preferred
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment
  • Advanced understanding of financial information systems and MS Office
  • Experience using Sparkrock is considered an asset
