Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and modify design models for configuration.
  • Organize the preparation of construction plans with CAD technicians, interacting with the construction team.
  • Design and optimize general plans.
  • Participate in specialized design work as needed.
  • Manage and organize CAD files. Enter design specifications in CAD software.
  • Attend meetings with engineers, drafters, and designers to review plans and design drawings.
  • Create surface and solid CAD models according to client specifications.
  • Work with a design team and individually on CAD projects.
  • Review CAD models with the client and make adjustments and standard calculations.
  • Conduct site visits to locate gradation markers and collect data.
  • Finalize model rendering and deliver the final product.
  • Support project design and quantity takeoff activities.
  • Assist in project execution.
  • Identify technical risks and participate in risk report preparation and project budget forecast review, providing the necessary technical input.
  • Establish and implement design management and other technical procedures for the project.
  • Support execution phase (project assistance team to resolve non-conformities, RFI with designers, and unexpected events during construction).
  • Collaborate with the technical department, as well as other departments.
  • Ensure correct transmission of design information to the entire project team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a CAD drafter/Civil Designer with BIM.
  • Experience in heavy civil construction projects (roads, bridges, structures) or similar.
  • Experience with Revit and Microstation is an asset.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is a plus.
  • Excellent technical, communication, organizational, management, and planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
