We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Project Consultant to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Perioperative Network, you will play a critical role in facilitating the implementation of strategic initiatives and improvement projects that advance the achievement of Nova Scotia Government and Perioperative Network mandates.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expertise, leadership, consultation, and coordination of planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of Perioperative strategic initiatives and improvement projects.
- Collaborate with the Perioperative Network, Zone Perioperative Leadership Teams, and Project Manager(s) to advance the achievement of strategic objectives.
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
- Lead and facilitate staff involvement, provide ongoing support, mentorship, and coaching during implementation.
- Ensure decisions are fiscally responsible and communicate progress and seek input from co-leadership teams as needed.
- Undergraduate degree in a healthcare discipline.
- Master's degree an asset, particularly in health administration, leadership, or business administration.
- Certified Health Executive (CHE) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation an asset.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) or experience an asset.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years' leadership experience within Perioperative Services.
- Experience in working with patient care leaders.
- Experience in leading strategic initiatives and/or large-scale improvement projects.
- Experience in project management, program development, and program evaluation.
- Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units.
- High degree of independent decision-making, creativity, self-direction, motivation, change management, and team building/leadership skills.
- Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation, and oversight.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems at multiple system levels.
- Knowledge of process redesign methodologies, evaluation, and performance improvement design and methodology.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and influencing skills.
- Experience in the application of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and graphics software.
- Experience in data analytics.
- Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures.
- Clearly communicates the NSH vision, mission, and values.
- Permanent, Full-Time (100%) Position; 75 hours bi-weekly.
- Location will be determined based on the successful candidate. This position is eligible to participate in our work-from-home program.
- Travel to other sites will be required.
$50.19 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
