Job Summary

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Ice Resurfacing Operators to join our team at Senators Sports & Entertainment. As an Ice Resurfacing Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our ice resurfacing equipment and maintaining the highest standards of ice quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Ice Resurfacing Equipment: Safely operate and maintain our Zamboni ice resurfacing machines and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Edge Ice and Maintain Ice Pads: Edge ice surfaces before games and events, and perform daily and weekly maintenance tasks to ensure ice pads are resurfaced according to facility schedules and standards.
  • Perform Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs on ice surfaces, dasher boards, safety shields, and other equipment to prevent downtime and ensure a smooth operation.
  • Ensure Health and Safety: Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and internal policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Complete Training Modules: Complete online training modules, including Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability (AODA), Back & Lifting Safety Training, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), to enhance your knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 18 years of age, experience driving an ice resurfacer, valid driver's license, and physical ability to perform heavy lifting (50 lbs) and work at heights.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of materials, equipment, and methods used in ice resurfacing, familiarity with tools and maintenance equipment, and bilingualism (French & English).
