HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in Kelowna, BC. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall project execution and customer communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
- Drive safe execution of projects, prioritizing the well-being of employees and customers.
- Develop and implement effective project schedules, resource plans, and risk assessments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Establish and manage project budgets, forecasting expenses, and creating detailed project schedules.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates for customer projects, promoting operational excellence and customer focus.
- Participate in monthly project reviews, promoting teamwork and high integrity within the organization.
Requirements
- Familiarity with utility substation construction and utility work sites.
- A trade education, college, or university diploma/degree in a technical field (electrical, mechanical, etc.).
- At least 5 years of experience in transformer service or other relevant substation/transformer experience.
- Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in substations construction, servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing of power Transformers and Power System Equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong customer relationship skills.
- Goal-oriented and self-starter attitude, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with relevant planning and scheduling tools.
- Ability to formulate solutions to technical problems, prepare technical quotations, and reports.
- Safety-minded and proven safe work record.
