About the Role

We are seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Dean of Western Law, a renowned institution known for its collegial atmosphere and inclusive student experience. As the senior academic officer, you will provide strategic direction, leadership in academic planning, and administrative oversight to ensure the highest standards in legal education and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership in academic planning to ensure the Faculty's continued excellence in legal education and research.
  • Oversee the administrative functions of the Faculty, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Mentor and support the next generation of lawyers and legal professionals, fostering an inclusive culture and promoting academic excellence.
  • Collaborate with a highly skilled academic and administrative team to achieve the Faculty's goals and objectives.
Requirements

We are seeking a scholar with a graduate degree at the Masters or PhD level, appointable at the rank of Full Professor. You will demonstrate dynamic financial and strategic management skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, and a creative approach to fundraising on behalf of the Faculty of Law.

A demonstrated reputation of integrity, empathy, and emotional intelligence is essential, enabling you to ethically engage with a wide range of internal and external partners.
