Job Description

Western University is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Dean of Western Law. As the senior academic officer for Western Law, the successful candidate will provide strategic direction, leadership in academic planning, and administrative oversight to ensure the highest standards in legal education and research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to Western Law
  • Develop and implement academic plans to enhance the quality of legal education and research
  • Oversee the administration of Western Law, including budgeting and resource allocation
  • Foster an inclusive culture and mentor the next generation of lawyers and legal professionals
  • Collaborate with a highly skilled academic and administrative team
Requirements
  • Graduate degree at the Masters or PhD level
  • Appointable at the rank of Full Professor
  • Dynamic financial and strategic management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to fundraise on behalf of the Faculty of Law
