Teaching Assistant Professor

Are you passionate about teaching and mentoring students in linear algebra? We are seeking a qualified individual to teach a course on linear algebra at the University of Toronto.
About the Course
The course covers systems of linear equations and Gaussian elimination, applications; vectors in Rn, independent sets and spanning sets; linear transformations, matrices, inverses; subspaces in Rn, basis and dimension; determinants; eigenvalues and diagonalization; systems of differential equations; dot products and orthogonal sets in Rn; projections and the Gram-Schmidt process; diagonalizing symmetric matrices; least squares approximation.
About the Role
We are looking for an individual with strong foundational knowledge of linear algebra and numerical methods. Previous experience in teaching, teaching excellence, and mastery of subject area is highly desirable. A working knowledge of MATLAB is also preferred.

About the Requirements
To be eligible, you must have a completed advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Engineering or Mathematics. Relevant professional experience and designations may also be considered. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience in teaching a similar course.
