We're seeking a talented Estimating Student to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. As a student at PCL, you'll have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, develop your skills, and contribute to our team's success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tender document preparation and coordination.
  • Communicate with trade contractors and suppliers to gather pursuit support.
  • Obtain and build unit-pricing for construction projects.
  • Perform and update quantity take-offs to ensure accuracy.
  • Update request for information lists to ensure timely responses.
  • Develop a strong understanding of trade scope definitions and local market conditions.
  • Learn to navigate varied contractual terms and conditions.

Qualifications

  • Working towards a degree or diploma in civil engineering or architectural technology.
  • Ability to perform quantity take-offs and unit pricing.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with spreadsheets and design software.
  • Prior field construction experience is an asset.
  • A passion for working in a construction environment and a commitment to learning and growth.
