At Brookfield Renewable, we are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support and maintain our ERP and Financial Applications. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily support to stakeholders on new requests or incidents related to Financial Applications.
- Support and maintain our ERP and other Financial Applications by performing application configuration, troubleshooting, and development of new features.
- Develop hands-on knowledge of our ERP and Financial Applications to investigate issues, identify root causes, and drive resolutions.
- Communicate and collaborate with Business System Owners and End Users to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
- Perform system configurations to ensure alignment with our business processes and perform updates as required.
- Act as a liaison between Finance, Operational business units, Technology teams, and Vendors.
- Identify areas for improvement regarding Financial Applications and existing business processes.
- Collect and present business requirements, understand, analyze, and translate them into system requirements, configurations, and customizations.
Requirements:
- Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience in a finance/accounting role or similar experience as a Business Analyst, serving mainly the accounting/finance group.
- Strong knowledge of core ERP enabled business cycles, more specifically accounting, procurement, and accounts payable cycles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, manage time effectively, and work in ambiguous or changing situations.
- Strong analytical skills, including interpreting customer business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements.
- Ability to identify problems, deal with situations and issues proactively, and demonstrate a critical and creative mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Functional experience with ERP systems such as IFS, D365, SAP would be considered an asset.
