Reporting to the Supervisor, Financial Applications, Brookfield Renewable is seeking an intermediate professional Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support and maintain the ERP and other Financial Applications.
As part of a team of BSA’s support/maintain an ERP and other Financial Applications by performing such functions as application configuration, troubleshooting of complex incidents and development of new features.
Proactively communicate and collaborate with Business System Owners and End Users to analyze information needs and functional requirements.
Perform and review system configurations to ensure the configuration of the functional modules align with the designed business processes and perform updates as required.
Act as the liaison between Finance, Operational business units, Technology teams and Vendors.
Proactively identify areas for improvement regarding the financial applications and existing or new business processes.
Facilitate the collection of business requirements, understand, analyze, and translate them into system requirements, configurations, and customizations.
Participate in the collection and presentation of evidence to support the organization’s audit cycles.
Between 2 and 5 years of professional experience in a finance/accounting role or similar experience as a Business Analyst, serving mainly the accounting/finance group is required
Strong knowledge of core ERP enabled business cycles, more specifically accounting, procurement and accounts payables cycles.
Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Demonstrate a critical and creative mindset with all new requests received from stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and affectively with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
Functional experience with ERP systems such as IFS, D365, SAP would be considered an asset.
Finance, Accounting or related degree would be considered a strong asset.
Computer Science experience with formal training in the areas of ERP systems would be considered an asset.
This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
