Retail Sales Manager Job Description
At Ontario Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Retail Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for managing staff, assigning duties, and implementing sales strategies to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff and assign duties to ensure optimal sales performance
- Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand and competitor activity
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold, including procurement and pricing strategies
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and brand awareness
- Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure financial stability
- Recruit, hire, and supervise staff to maintain a high-performing team
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficient sales processes
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in retail sales management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Adaptability, efficiency, and goal-oriented mindset
- Client focus, flexibility, and team player attitude
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced retail environment with heavy loads and attention to detail
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking required
Personal Suitability:
- Adaptability, efficiency, and goal-oriented mindset
- Client focus, flexibility, and team player attitude
Experience:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in retail sales management
- Permanent employment with 40 hours per week
- English language required
