Kitchen Staff Assistant

Alberta Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Staff Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, ensuring that all food preparation and serving areas are tidy and well-organized.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Loading buspans and trays with clean dishes, glassware, and flatware for efficient washing and reuse.
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware in accordance with established sanitation and safety protocols.
- Replenish condiments, cleaning supplies, and other essential items at tables and serving areas to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand as needed, adhering to Alberta's Health and Safety regulations.
- Keep accurate records of food usage and inventory levels to inform ordering and reduce waste.
- Pack take-out food efficiently and neatly for customer pickup or delivery.
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items according to menu specifications and health codes.
- Stock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas with fresh produce, ingredients, and supplies to maintain an appealing presentation and quality.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, including workstations, cupboards, and storage areas, to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a safe working environment.
- Receive, unpack, and store incoming supplies in designated areas, such as refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and shelves.
- Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen area regularly to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to ensure they remain slip-resistant and visually appealing.
- Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables according to established procedures to prepare them for use in cooking and presentation.
We're looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment. If you possess a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.
The successful candidate will have a strong client focus, be reliable, and possess excellent teamwork and multitasking abilities. They will also be able to work in a permanent position with 35 hours per week and English language proficiency.
CompensationThe estimated salary for this position is $38,000 - $45,000 per annum, depending on location and level of experience. This figure includes industry-standard benefits and opportunities for growth within the company.
