We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Staff member to join our team at Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre Edmonton South.
This is a permanent position with the possibility of 35 to 40 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
About the JobThe successful candidate will assist with various kitchen duties, including setting tables, cleaning dishes, and preparing food. They will also be responsible for taking customer orders and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set tables and ensure a clean dining area
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils
- Portion and wrap food according to recipes and presentation guidelines
- Restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed
- Take customers' orders and serve food and beverages
- Sweep, mop, and polish floors to maintain a clean and tidy environment
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as required
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Will train provided for those who need it
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods
- Familiarity with kitchen safety procedures and protocols
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience and location. This includes benefits such as paid time off, health insurance, and meal discounts.
