The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a strategic leadership role that oversees the planning, design, installation, integration, and sustainment of arena and business technology infrastructure and solutions for the Ottawa Senators organization. This position provides guidance to the executive team and operating departments in the planning of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs and manages IT plans, schedules, policies, and programs for data processing, network communications, business operations, disaster recovery planning, computer services, and management information systems.
  • Identifies and analyzes emerging information technologies and oversees implementation via iterative innovation programs.
  • Ensures mission-critical applications and technology are available to support long-term goals and operational objectives.
  • Liaises with external technology partners and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology or business-related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive technology leadership roles.
  • Experience creating and executing a strategic technology vision for businesses, including tactical details while maintaining a big-picture view.
  • In-depth understanding of corporate technology, data networking, telephony, and information security.
  • Aptitude for independent decision-making, creative thinking, and innovation with technology.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex technology concepts into accessible business terms.
