Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at Select Landscaping and Construction Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and construction of outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, ensuring they are properly maintained and cared for.
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective work.
  • Organize and plan the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, taking into account factors such as weather, soil conditions, and seasonal changes.
  • Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property.
  • Schedule work to ensure timely completion and minimize delays.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing.
  • Plan and estimate labor and materials for projects, ensuring they are within budget and meet quality standards.
  • Plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work, including excavation, grading, and installation of hardscapes and softscapes.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs, including hours worked, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Standing for extended periods and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
