Ricky's Cafe is seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes.
- Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food production.
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet customer demands.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure timely ordering and restocking of supplies.
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
- Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
