Director, Patient Care

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative leader to join our team as Director, Patient Care. This is an exciting opportunity to drive change and improvement in our healthcare organization.

About the Role

The Director, Patient Care will be responsible for leading a broad and forward-moving patient care portfolio across the Alliance. This role will ensure the HPHA's mission, vision, and guiding principles are embodied in the culture of all programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic planning to meet and exceed performance targets
  • Maintain an attention to continuous quality improvement and promote innovation in a dynamic healthcare system
  • Advocate for patients and staff, drawing together advances in practice, education, research, and administration to support and plan for the goals of patients and staff
  • Ensure programs operate in accordance with legislation, standards, and ethical principles
  • Create an environment that provides optimal opportunity for the development of professional practice, promotes shared leadership, and manages programs within fiscal resources
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Degree in a Health-Related Discipline
  • Masters Degree Preferred
  • Current certificate of registration in good standing from a college recognized under the Regulated Health Professions Act
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles in a complex healthcare environment
  • 5 years' experience managing in a Unionized environment an asset
  • 5 years' experience working with and leading Multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and transformational culture change designed to enhance the patient experience using LEAN principles and processes
