We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations team at Hexagon AB. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, including financial close, intercompany, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and tax functions.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Operations Leadership: Lead the operational accounting functions for the Canadian Asset Lifecycle Division, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Team Management: Provide clear visions, goals, and priorities to the team, setting expectations of roles and responsibilities, and identifying and communicating best practices.
- Coaching and Development: Coach, motivate, and retain staff while managing team performance, assisting team members to solve problems from daily accounting to month-end closes.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and fulfill various reporting needs of the Professional Services group.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Review and approve monthly general ledger reconciliations, prepare annual corporate income tax returns, and support internal and external audits.
- Process Improvement: Initiate continuous process improvement, leading ad hoc team projects to enhance financial operations and efficiency.
- Professional Qualifications: Professional Accounting Designation or Post-Secondary Business or Finance Degree.
- Experience: 6 years of finance and accounting experience in financial accounting, tax, audit, and Financial Planning and Analysis, with a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a medium-sized organization ($25M-$75M).
- Skills: Good understanding of financial systems, processes, internal controls, and a working knowledge of IFRS, strong Excel skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Personal Qualities: Precise, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
