Job Title: Registered Nurse - PACU

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU) at the University Hospital of Northern BC.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate client care in accordance with the Vision, Values, Ethics, and Standards of the organization and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
  • Provide nursing care in an acute clinical setting, utilizing specialized knowledge and skills to promote patient safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices and policies.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Advanced education in an approved enhanced specialty post-anesthetic education course, and two years recent, related clinical experience aligned with unit-specific competencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate related equipment, including relevant computer applications.
