About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Exerciser, Racehorse Trainer to join our team at Michael P. De Paulo. As an Exerciser, you will be responsible for the daily care and exercise of our racing horses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily exercise and care to our racing horses, including grooming, feeding, and monitoring their health and well-being.
  • Develop and implement exercise plans to ensure the horses are physically fit and ready for racing.
  • Work closely with our trainers and veterinarians to ensure the horses receive the best possible care.
  • Maintain accurate records of the horses' exercise and care, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and health checks.
  • Assist with the transportation of horses to and from the track, as well as to and from veterinary appointments.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in horse care and exercise.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with trainers, veterinarians, and other team members.
  • Physical stamina to perform daily exercise and care tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
