Job Summary

As a Senior Program Evaluation Officer at SSHRC, you will lead full-scale evaluation studies of large programs and complex projects related to SSHRC, NSERC, or interagency initiatives. You will oversee working groups formed to oversee evaluations and provide leadership in the development of evaluation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and manage evaluations consistent with the Federal Government's policies related to evaluation
  • Develop and apply specialized evaluation techniques, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Analyze data, synthesize evaluation findings, and present them to clients
  • Develop evaluation frameworks and lead working groups
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized university with a Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree would be an asset
  • Specialization in public administration, economics, sociology, statistics, evaluation, or social research methods would be an asset
  • Significant experience conducting and managing evaluations, including experience in analyzing data and presenting findings
  • Knowledge of program evaluation practice, including federal government performance measurement and evaluation policies/standards
  • Knowledge of evaluation methodologies and approaches
  • Knowledge of methods of statistical analysis
