Job Summary:
Loblaw Companies is seeking a highly skilled Asset Protection Representative to join our team. As an Asset Protection Representative, you will play a critical role in protecting our stores and assets from theft and fraud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deter, detect, and apprehend individuals who attempt to steal or commit fraud within our retail locations.
- Collaborate with other Asset Protection Representatives to investigate provincial or national Organized Retail Crime (ORC) cases.
- Regularly collaborate with local law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices.
- Conduct thorough investigations, compile evidence, and present findings in court or arbitration proceedings.
- Identify and mitigate potential shrink opportunities within our operational core compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store management and colleagues, providing coaching and guidance on Asset Protection policies and procedures.
- Participate in conducting store-level audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Represent Loblaw Companies at community events and promote a positive image of the company.
- Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
Requirements:
- Valid Provincial Security Guard License is required.
- Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act, and Powers of Arrest, as well as experience with CCTV and/or surveillance systems and Windows-based applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
- High degree of initiative and integrity required to succeed in a dynamic environment.
