Salary: $50,000 - $55,000

Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Compliance and Payroll Expert with a passion for accuracy and a commitment to excellence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring our payroll operations align with all Canadian laws and regulations. Your expertise will directly shape our payroll compliance framework, ensuring our valued healthcare professionals are paid accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret changes in Canadian payroll legislation, regulations, and taxation rules.
  • Conduct regular internal audits of payroll records, systems, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive payroll policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Identify and assess potential payroll compliance risks and implement controls and procedures to mitigate these risks.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely payroll reports to relevant government agencies.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to payroll systems and software to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and training to payroll staff on compliance matters and stay updated on industry trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Canadian Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation from the Canadian Payroll Association.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Canadian payroll, preferably with a focus on compliance.
  • In-depth understanding of Canadian employment standards, tax laws, and payroll legislation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve compliance issues.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll calculations and reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate complex compliance matters.
