French Language Instructor Wanted

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced French language instructor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. as a part-time French language tutor and coach.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French language skills to students of various levels, from Grade 9 to 12. The instructor will work directly with students, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their language learning goals.

Responsibilities
  • Teach French language skills to students of various levels
  • Provide guidance and support to students to help them achieve their language learning goals
  • Work directly with students in a small group setting
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Third or fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong French skills and ability to guide students' understanding (French first language preferred)
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
