Job Summary

Enbridge is seeking a skilled Transmission System Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our planning and analysis group, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining hydraulic pipeline models for Enbridge Gas Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and update hydraulic pipeline models to ensure system reliability and propose infrastructure solutions as needed.
  • Evaluate customer usage patterns, energy transition, and energy efficiency assumptions to ensure accuracy of annual simulation and forecast analyses.
  • Analyze and forecast short and long-range transmission system operating and infrastructure requirements under varying conditions.
  • Develop contingency plans to ensure system reliability and minimize system disruption during integrity work or emergency response activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide system operational support and participate in multi-disciplinary project teams to optimize hydraulic design for large system expansion and/or maintenance projects.
Requirements
  • University degree in Engineering with P. Eng and 4 years of working experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to think analytically and perform detailed analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical and Mental Requirements

The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks that involve grasping, kneeling, light to moderate lifting, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, and visual requirements. The candidate will also be required to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions, understand complex problems, and collaborate to explore alternative solutions.
