Job Summary:

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our fleet of trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose and repair issues, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and hydraulic lifts
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete repairs and meet deadlines
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and techniques in the industry through ongoing training and education

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a heavy-duty mechanic or diesel technician role
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
