Senior Actuarial Analyst/Consultant-Personal Property

As a key member of our Personal Property Pricing team, the Actuarial Consultant/Senior Actuarial Analyst will leverage their expertise in actuarial science and mathematics to drive business growth and improve our insurance products. This role offers a unique opportunity to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement pricing strategies, predictive models, and product enhancements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough ratemaking and product reviews for personal property products, including rate indications, predictive modeling, competitive analysis, and financial impact analysis.
- Provide high-quality recommendations and present supporting results to management, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Support new product development and implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and successful launch.
- Monitor and assess the quality of our insurance portfolio, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop, maintain, and validate actuarial reports to meet business needs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Design, modify, and validate predictive statistical models, leveraging advanced techniques and software to drive business insights.
- Mentor and coach junior actuarial analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in insurance or a related field, with a strong background in actuarial pricing and predictive modeling.
- Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 Associateship/Fellowship Exams and ACAS/ACIA designation a strong asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply actuarial science, mathematics, probability, statistics, and finance principles to complex problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and prioritize tasks effectively.
