Electrical Engineer in Training Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer in Training to join our team in British Columbia. As an Electrical Engineer in Training, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of electrical power systems projects, including industrial and utility sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform electrical analysis and design in both industrial and utility sectors
- Design and integrate protective relaying systems
- Conduct electrical studies, including short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, load flow, grounding, and harmonic studies
- Creation and modification of electrical drawing packages
- Troubleshoot problems and develop practical solutions to correct deficiencies in electrical systems
- Support field services division for maintenance and commissioning activities on customer sites
- A four-year Electrical Engineering Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Understanding of industrial/utility protection and relay systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (CEC, IEEE1584)
- Experience with electrical engineering software such as EasyPower, SKM, and ETAP considered an asset
- Valid driver's license and clean abstract required for fieldwork
- $35 to $50 per hour depending on experience
- Overtime after 8 hours, double time after 10 hours
