About the Role
PJB Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers. They will be responsible for operating these machines to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
Responsibilities
- Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made
- Operate woodworking machines to cut, shape, and form parts and components
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products
Work Environment
The Cabinet Maker will work in a millwork/pre-fab shop environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. They will be exposed to a noisy and dusty work environment.
Requirements
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Permanent employment
Working Conditions and Physical Capabilities
The Cabinet Maker will be physically demanding and require bending, crouching, and kneeling. They will work 40 hours per week and have the ability to work in various locations.
